De Paraplu, which translates to ‘the umbrella’, is an energetic circus-theatre group consisting of young and enthusiastic performers. They have outgrown the youth circus but create their own shows under the wing of their former youth circus, Circus Rotjeknor. 

De Paraplu consists of the following members: Andrea, Anne, David, Iris, Jermaine, Renée, Thijmen en Tom. For them, it started when they innocently walked the doors of the Circus Rotjeknor foundation. By now they have become students, studying all over the Netherlands, but they still long to create and participate in the circus. Therefore they have decided to continue with their hobby, somewhat independently, without choreographers or teachers. After two, quite gratifying and enjoyable years of working in this formation, the third year is now coming up.
